This is a beginner/Intermediate group skills session for women, men and mixed genders .
This session is perfectly timed a week out from the double header of events that Bendigo Mountain Bike Club will be hosting on the 4th and 5th of May, event information and registration found on the links below:
- The Dirty Dual: Saturday 4th of May
- The Women’s MTB Challenge: Sunday 4th of May
The session will provide a valuable opportunity to apply skills learnt to the terrain and trails that will be used for the two events.
There will be 3 groups offered:
- All genders – men, women and gender diverse (coaches who are men or women)
- Women and gender diverse (Coach who is a woman)
- Men and gender diverse (Coach who is a man)
LBGTQIA+ riders welcomed in any of our groups.
This session incorporates expert instruction on the fundamental skills of mountain biking and is done so within a supportive and fun group dynamic. Learning the fundamentals will allow you to form a solid base that will act as the building blocks for your ongoing development as a rider.
Fundamentals sessions are also a pre-requisite to our intermediate sessions and programs: Terrain Progression Program, Creative Cornering, Steeps, Granite Slabs and Rock Gardens, Smooth Transitions: Roll Downs & Drops, Intro to Jumps.
Great for beginner riders who are newer to riding as it provides opportunities to build confidence through foundational skills.
Intermediate and more experienced riders are provided with an opportunity to consolidate the fundamentals, undo bad habits and build a solid base from which more advanced skills can be acquired.
The session will cover a range of skills with an emphasis on becoming a smoother more stable rider and creating that all important flow on varied terrain.

The maximum participants for each group will be 6 to maximize your learning time and provide opportunity for specific individual feedback.
