When you register for this program you will need to select a rider level that you feel is appropriate for your rider. Kids rider level descriptions can be found here

Our new rider levels are replacing our previous system of grouping by age. The new system will enable us to form groups based on; bike set up, confidence, current riding experience, and current skill level.  Age will still be a consideration, but generally only used for guidance. The new system will enable us to move riders across our groupings as they progress and develop their skills!

This is a 2 day program designed to enable kids to develop the fundamental skills of mountain biking.

Each session has been designed and planned to progress the fundamental skills sets, therefore it is essential that the 2 sessions are completed consecutively.

The program will progress your child’s position, balance and ability to operate their controls efficiently and safely. This will be done through fun group, activities that build essential skills and confidence helping your child to ride safely and smoothly and with good control.

Each session includes plenty of trail time within the Walmer Forest and as skills are consolidated, we progressively access more challenging terrain over the 2 days.

Groups will be formed based on our rider levels. We maintain a coaching ratio of 1:6 which allows us to safely manage our riders and importantly to maximize learning time where we prioritize providing specific individual feedback.

• When: Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd of January 2024
• Meet: Walmer Day Visitor Area, Castlemaine
• Time: 10am – 12pm
• Cost: $110 Inc GST per rider (2 x 2hr sessions)
