If you’re unsure about where your rider fits\, feel free to get in touch for assistance. \nRider Pre-Requisites and Ability Levels\nThe terrain at La Larr Ba Gauwa is not suitable for beginner or newer riders. \nRiders should be confident riding both green (beginner) and ‘dark blue’ (intermediate) trails\, operating brakes and gears\, and tackling trail features like berms\, rock slabs\, roll-downs\, and steep gradients. If a rider cannot safely navigate the terrain\, coaches will inform parents\, and alternative arrangements will be made. \nFor less experienced riders\, the ‘RAD or FLOW program’ may be a better fit\, as it only includes green-rated trails and adventure activities. \nSession Structure\nThe program is designed to build essential mountain biking skills\, with each session carefully planned to progress riders’ abilities. Sessions feature plenty of trail time\, allowing riders to develop confidence\, safety\, and control on purpose-built terrain. As skills improve\, more challenging trails will be accessed. The extended 3-hour sessions include a BYO snack break\, and the 1:6 coaching ratio ensures personalised feedback and safe management. \nProgram Details\n\nTotal Sessions: 2 sessions\, 3 hours each\nMake-Up Sessions: If a day is rescheduled due to weather\, it will be held the day after the program concludes.\nAbsentee Policy: No credits for missed sessions due to absenteeism.\n\nSchedule\n\nDates: Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd January 2026\nTime: 9:00am – 12:00pm\nLocation: The Oak Forest\, La Larr Ba Gauwa Park\, Harcourt\n\nCost\n\nProgram Fee: $174.00 Inc GST per rider (2 x 3-hour sessions)\n\nImportant Note\nA minimum of 10 registrations is required for this program to proceed. \nWaitlist\nMissed out on a ticket? SUMMARY:SPRING School Holiday Program 2025 - La Larr Ba Gauwa - SHRED RIDERS
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThis 2-day Shred Riders’ program is designed to help young people develop fundamental mountain biking skills while riding at an intermediate level. Riders will focus on stability\, balance\, and control as they navigate challenging trails. \nRider Levels / Rider Grouping System\nOur rider level system focuses on bike setup\, confidence\, riding experience and skill level. Age will also be used as a guideline\, but it will not be the main factor for group placement. More details on rider levels can be found here\, along with a pictorial glossary for bike setup and relevant terms. \nProgram Details\n\nTotal Sessions: 2 sessions\, 3 hours each\nMake-Up Sessions: If a day is rescheduled due to weather\, it will be held the day after the program concludes.\nAbsentee Policy: No credits for missed sessions due to absenteeism.\n\nSchedule\n\nDates: Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th of September 2025\nTime: 10:00am – 1:00pm\nLocation: The Oak Forest\, La Larr Ba Gauwa Park\, Harcourt\n\nCost\n\nProgram Fee: $174.00 Inc GST per rider (2 x 3-hour sessions)\n\nImportant Note\nA minimum of 10 registrations is required for this program to proceed. \nWaitlist\nMissed out on a ticket? SUMMARY:WINTER School Holiday Program 2025 - La Larr Ba Gauwa - SHRED RIDERS
\nFor less experienced riders\, the ‘MTB Connect Program’ is a better fit\, as it only includes green-rated trails and adventure activities. \nProgram Details\n\nTotal Sessions: 2 sessions\, 3 hours each\nMake-Up Sessions: If a day is rescheduled due to weather\, it will be held the day after the program concludes.\nAbsentee Policy: No credits for missed sessions due to absenteeism.\n\nSchedule\n\nDates: Thursday 10th and Friday 11th of July 2025\nTime: 10:00am – 1:00pm\nLocation: The Oak Forest\, La Larr Ba Gauwa Park\, Harcourt\n\nCost\n\nProgram Fee: $174.00 Inc GST per rider (2 x 3-hour sessions)\n\nImportant Note\nA minimum of 10 registrations is required for this program to proceed. \nWaitlist\nMissed out on a ticket? State and National level series races along with National Titles.  The session will cater to riders who are focussing on cross country along with gravity enduro or down hill. This session is for riders who are wanting to take their riding further\, both in skills and fitness. It is imperative that riders have sufficient bike fitness to ride for up to 2hrs in challenging terrain including up to 500m elevation gain in this time period\, yes we have to be able to go up to go down! \nIf you are unsure of your riders suitability to take participate in this program please get in touch with us here to discuss suitability \nSession Structure\nEach training session will have a specific focus and will rotate between the below session types: \n\nTimed race simulations or interval sessions to develop race craft/race fitness\nIntermediate to advanced skills sessions\nGuided endurance rides for maintenance of general fitness\, build endurance and maintain connection between riders\n\nOur goal for this program is to foster a fun\, social but also competitive atmosphere for peers of a similar age with similar goals. \nProgram Details\n\nTotal Sessions: 7 sessions in total\nMake-Up Sessions: Offered at the end of the program for any sessions postponed due to weather.\nAbsentee Policy: No credits for missed sessions due to absenteeism.\n\nSchedule\nDates: Select Saturdays from early May – late September \nSession 1: 10th of May \nSession 2: 31st of May \nSession 3: 21st of June \nSession 4: 12th of July (School Holidays) \nSession 5: 2nd of August \nSession 6: 30th of August \nSession 7: 27th of September \nTime: 9am – 11am (2hr session) \nLocation: “La Larr Ba Gauwa MTB Park” meet at The Oak Forest Car Park \nCost\nProgram Fee: $315 Inc GST ($45.00 per session\, pricing covers staff penalty rates as the program runs on Saturdays.) \nCoaches\nAt this stage we will have a range of coaches who will be rolling this program out.
