SUMMARY:Term 4\, 2024 MTB Skills Program - Castlemaine - RAD RIDERS
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThis weekly session will be run on Mondays throughout Term 4\, 2024. Alternatively\, you can register for the Spring/Summer season to receive a discounted rate. \nRider Levels / Rider Grouping System\nOur new rider levels system focuses on bike setup\, confidence\, riding experience\, and skill level\, replacing the previous age-based grouping. Age will still be a guideline\, but it will no longer be the main factor for group placement. More details on rider levels can be found here\, along with a pictorial glossary for bike setup and relevant terms. If you’re unsure about where your rider fits\, feel free to get in touch for assistance. \nSession Structure\nThe weekly sessions are designed to help your child build confidence in fundamental mountain biking skills while riding various terrains. Each session is planned sequentially to develop their confidence and ability on local trails. \nProgram Details\n\nTotal Sessions: 8 sessions in total\nMake-Up Sessions: Offered at the end of the term for any sessions postponed due to weather.\nAbsentee Policy: No credits for missed sessions due to absenteeism.\n\nSchedule\n\nDates: Mondays throughout Term 4\, 2024:\n7th\, 14th\, 21st\, 28th of October\n4th\, 11th\, 18th\, 25th of November\nTime: 4:00pm – 5:00pm (1-hour session)\nLocation: “The Walmer/Baco Trails” – Walmer Day Visitor Area\, Castlemaine\n\nCost\n\nProgram Fee: $220 Inc GST ($27.50 per session)\n\nTrial Rides\nWe offer trial rides for new riders to experience our program. This is a single-session registration\, which also allows us to assess the rider’s current skill and confidence levels. Availability is dependent on spare places in the program. DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThis weekly session is designed for our younger ‘Dirt Riders’ and will be run on Wednesdays throughout Term 4\, 2024. More details about our rider levels can be found here. \nRider Levels / Rider Grouping System\nOur new rider levels system focuses on bike setup\, confidence\, riding experience\, and skill level\, replacing the previous age-based grouping. Age will still be a guideline\, but it will no longer be the main factor for group placement. More details on rider levels can be found here\, along with a pictorial glossary for bike setup and relevant terms. If you’re unsure about where your rider fits\, feel free to get in touch for assistance. \nSession Structure\nThis program is ideal for newer riders\, focusing on developing fundamental bike handling skills and introducing them to off-road riding. Balance bikes are welcome\, but training wheels are not suitable due to uneven surfaces. \nSessions are structured to help build essential skills such as body position\, balance\, and riding in control. This is done through fun\, group-based activities in an open area\, progressing to the trail using select paths within the Walmer Day Visitor Area. \nProgram Details\n\nTotal Sessions: 6 sessions in total\nMake-up Sessions: Available at the end of the term for any cancellations\nAbsentee Policy: No credits for missed sessions due to absenteeism\n\nSchedule\n\nDates: Wednesdays throughout Term 4\, 2024 (23rd October – 27th November)\nTime: 9:30 am – 10:30 am (1-hour session)\nLocation: Walmer Day Visitor Area\, Castlemaine\n\nCost\n\nProgram Fee: $165.00\n\nImportant Note\nThis session requires a minimum of 5 riders to proceed. \nWaitlist\nMissed out on a ticket?
