This is a beginner/Intermediate group skills session for women.
This 3-session program provides an opportunity for skills development, guided riding and social connections.
Skills:
Receive instruction on the fundamental skills of mountain biking in a supportive and fun group dynamic.
Learn the fundamentals so that you can form a solid base and the building blocks for your ongoing development as a rider.
Great for beginner riders who are newer to riding as it provides opportunities to build confidence through foundational skills.
Intermediate and more experienced riders are provided with an opportunity to consolidate the fundamentals, undo unhelpful habits and build a solid base from which more advanced skills can be acquired.
The sessions will cover a range of skills with an emphasis on becoming a smoother more stable rider and creating that all important flow on varied terrain.
Skills that may be covered:
- Body Position
- Operation of Controls – Brakes and Gears
- Terrain Awareness
- Cornering
Guided ride:
After learning a skill, we will take it to the trails, to progress and practice in a safe and encouraging way. Specific features will be utilized to practice and refine specific skills.
Post-ride Social time:
We will finish our ride at the Taproom. This is time to continue the conversation and debrief about the ride and skills learnt, in a laid back and relaxed atmosphere. Beverages and food will be available for purchase at participants own expense. The focus is on social time to develop connections with other riders and receive mentorship and guidance from coaches. There will be a mixed adults group meeting here as well, and there is a possibility we will join them.
There are spots to sit outside, so that bikes don’t get left alone!
The maximum participants for this session will be 6 to maximize your learning time and provide opportunity for specific individual feedback.
