Overview
This 3-hour session introduces riders to essential fundamental off road and mountain bike skills. Our Women’s programs are open to gender diverse adults and coached by women who have experience with women’s specific skills progression, riding, fostering inclusion and safety.
Who is this session for?
For those new to riding through to experienced riders. Developing a shared language and having access to a toolbox of skills, sets you up for ongoing reflection, progression and confidence. Sessions are tailored to the group as a whole and take into consideration individual needs, ability, experiences and goals.
Session Structure
Content may include:
- Bike/equipment check: information about components and safety (included in all Trailhead Coaching sessions)
- Stability and balance: for descending, basic cornering and climbing (ascending)
- Controls – Braking: Learning how to use brakes to slow down and stop safely
- Controls – gears/cadence: Develop efficiency for climbing and maintaining flow on undulating terrain
Participants will have access to video analysis and content wrap ups after the session via a private coaching space on our platform ‘CoachNow’

- Session Fee: $120 inc GST
