Overview
This 2.5-hour guided ride is for women and gender diverse adults wanting to enjoy the benefits of exploring the trails in a supportive environment and soak up the social vibes of a no-drop pace. Our Rides are lead by women who have experience with women’s specific skills progression, riding, fostering inclusion and safety.
Who is this for?
Especially for riders who have previously participated in group or private skills coaching session/s. This means you will have been exposed to fundamental skills which forms a language used when we discuss skill acquisition and application. (For those who have not had an opportunity to attend a fundamentals skills session you can book in for a private 1:1 pair or group session here)
Our ride sessions are first and foremost an opportunity to connect with others. It is an opportunity to participate in a ride that is fully and intentionally led by professionally certified guides/coaches who are qualified and experienced in:
- Establishment and maintenance of a supportive ride environment.
- Social “no drop” pace – no one will be left behind.
- Encouraging riders to listen their own internal gauge of “readiness” – when and how much they feel safe to do based on their individual stage of riding.
- Selection of terrain.
- Managing the elements of risk inherent in outdoor activities
- Responding to any incidents (certified wilderness first aiders)
This ride is tailored to the group as a whole and take into consideration individual needs, ability, experiences and goals. We will be riding on the old school hand cut singletracks at Walmer Forest Reserve. For those wanting to access purpose-built mountain bike park terrain we will be offering guided rides at La Larr Ba Gauwa in Harcourt soon.
