Overview
This 2-day Shred Rider program is designed to help kids develop fundamental mountain biking skills. Each session is structured to progressively build skills, making it important that both sessions are attended consecutively.
Rider Levels / Rider Grouping System
Our rider level system focuses on bike setup, confidence, riding experience, and skill level. Age will still be a guideline, but it will no longer be the main factor for group placement. More details on rider levels can be found here, along with a pictorial glossary for bike setup and relevant terms. If you’re unsure about where your rider fits, feel free to get in touch for assistance.
Session Structure
Each session focuses on improving your child’s position, balance, and control efficiency through engaging group activities. These activities build essential skills and confidence, helping your child ride safely, smoothly, and with control. Riders will spend plenty of time on the Spring Gully trail network, progressing to more challenging terrain over the two days as their skills develop.
The extended 3-hour sessions include a short BYO snack break around 11:30am. Groups are formed based on our rider levels, with a 1:6 coaching ratio to ensure safe management and ample individual feedback for each rider.
