Join Jo Natalya and Roz for a weekend of MTBing, learning and connection in wonderful Harcourt on Dja Dja Wurrung country. Immerse yourself in place and nature.
A focused time for all things mountain biking and with like-minded people in a space for women and gender-diverse adults. Mountain bike skills coaching sessions and guided riding at La Larr Ba Gauwa Mountain Bike Park with internationally certified PMBIA coaches, who are local women. MTB skills sessions and riding will be complemented by creative and experiential group activities. This is not an action-packed party weekend – this is a time to slow down, focus, develop skills and reflect on individual and shared experiences.
Who is this for?
This retreat is for any rider that is keen to progress skill, feel empowered and improve confidence. We guarantee that you will leave the retreat a more capable and confident mountain biker.
Suitable for those who are beginner riders new to riding off road or on dedicated MTB single trail, through to more experienced intermediate riders who are confident riding on mountain bike single track and/or at bike parks. We have the capacity to offer a beginner group that will access select terrain and trails at La Larr Ba Guawa, and can also potentially utilise the terrain at Walmer Forest for more beginner friendly riding experiences.
The terrain at La Larr Ba Gauwa Park is challenging and contains variable terrain for intermediate and advanced riders wanting to develop confidence riding a range of trail features (berms, rock gardens, jumps, drops, gaps, rock slabs, roll downs along with steep gradients, both up and down). There are also alternative options (e.g. “B lines” or more flowy trails) if riders are not confident and ready to ride these types of features.
We endeavour to cater for individual rider levels within the group setting. It is our intention to safely progress all riders through learning that is appropriate to individual abilities – building confidence and providing the appropriate level of challenge.E-bikes welcome! Maximum 12 riders (8 minimum).*Please note the retreat requires a minimum of 8 participants to go ahead.
