DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThis 2-day Rad and Flow Rider program is designed to help kids develop the fundamental skills of mountain biking. Each session is carefully structured to ensure that skills are learned progressively\, making it essential for riders to attend both consecutive sessions. \nRider Levels / Rider Grouping System\nOur rider levels system focuses on bike setup\, confidence\, riding experience\, and skill level. Age will be a guideline\, but it will not be the main factor for group placement. More details on rider levels can be found here\, along with a pictorial glossary for bike setup and relevant terms. If you’re unsure about where your rider fits\, feel free to get in touch for assistance. \nSession Structure\nEach session is designed to progress your child’s fundamental mountain biking skills\, focusing on position\, balance\, and control efficiency. Sessions include fun group activities to build essential skills and confidence\, while plenty of trail time helps solidify the learning. As skills improve\, riders will gradually access more challenging terrain over the 2 days. \nThe extended 3-hour sessions include a BYO snack break around 11:30am\, followed by nature-based activities to help riders recoup energy before hitting the trails again in the second half of the session. Groups will be formed based on our rider levels\, with a coaching ratio of 1:6 to ensure safety and personalised feedback. \n\n\n\nMTB skills – fun group\, activities that build essential skills (body position\, stability and ability to operate controls efficiently and safely)\nDeveloping your rider’s ability to ride the trails and mountain bike terrain at Walmer with confidence\, safety and with control\nDesigned and planned to progress the fundamental skills sets\, therefore it is essential that the 2 sessions are completed consecutively\n\n\n\nProgram Details\n\nTotal Sessions: 2 sessions\, 3 hours each\nMake-Up Sessions: If a day is rescheduled due to weather\, the make-up session will be held the day after the program concludes.\nAbsentee Policy: No credits for missed sessions due to absenteeism.\n\nSchedule\n\nDates: Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th of July 2025\nTime: 10am – 1pm\nLocation: “The Walmer/Baco Trails” meet at the Walmer Day Visitor Area\, Castlemaine\n\nCost\n\nProgram Fee: $174.00 Inc GST per rider (2 x 3-hour sessions)\n\nImportant Note\nA minimum of 10 riders is required for this program to proceed. \nWaitlist\nMissed out on a ticket? DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThis weekly session is designed for our younger ‘Dirt Riders’ and will be run on Wednesdays throughout Term 4\, 2024. If you’re unsure about where your rider fits\, feel free to get in touch for assistance. \nSession Structure\nThis program is ideal for newer riders\, focusing on developing fundamental bike handling skills and introducing them to off-road riding. Balance bikes are welcome\, but training wheels are not suitable due to uneven surfaces. \nSessions are structured to help build essential skills such as body position\, balance\, and riding in control. The system will enable us to form groups based on; bike setup\, confidence\, current riding experience\, and current skill level.  Age will still be a consideration\, but generally only used for guidance. The new system will enable us to move riders across our groupings as they progress and develop their skills! \nIf you are unsure on where your rider should be placed\, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss. \n************************************************************************************************************************************* \nThis weekly session will be run on Mondays throughout Term 3 2024. \nThe weekly sessions will be structured to enable your child to build confidence in the fundamental skills of mountain biking and gain experience riding a variety of terrain types. \nEach session is carefully planned and structured in a sequential way that will allow your child to further develop their confidence and ability while riding the local trails. \nThe program will consist of 6 sessions in total\, and given that we will be coming off our ‘Winter Break’ the program will start up part way through the term. This will enable us to take advantage of the lengthening days and increased daylight and hopefully better weather closer to Spring! Riders will still be required to have a fully charged night light for at least the first few weeks of the program until we get sufficient daylight. \nNote there will space for make-up sessions at the end of the term\, if any session needs to be postponed due to weather. \n\nWhen: The following Mondays throughout Term 3\, 2024: 5th\, 12th\, 19th\, 26th of August\, 2nd and the 9th of September\nMeet: “Baco Trails” Trailhead at the Walmer Day Visitor Area/Recreation Site\, Castlemaine\nTimes: Mondays 5:15pm – 6:15pm  (1hr Session)\nCost: $165.00 Inc GST\n\nWe do offer trial rides\, this is a single session registration for new riders to trial our programs. The system will enable us to form groups based on; bike setup\, confidence\, current riding experience\, and current skill level.  Age will still be a consideration\, but generally only used for guidance. The new system will enable us to move riders across our groupings as they progress and develop their skills! \nIf you are unsure on where your rider should be placed\, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss. \n************************************************************************************************************************************* \nThis weekly session will be run on Mondays throughout Term 3 2024. \nThe weekly sessions will be structured to enable your child to build confidence in the fundamental skills of mountain biking and gain experience riding a variety of terrain types. \nEach session is carefully planned and structured in a sequential way that will allow your child to further develop their confidence and ability while riding the local trails. \nThe program will consist of 6 sessions in total\, and given that we will be coming off our ‘Winter Break’ the program will start up part way through the term. This will enable us to take advantage of the lengthening days and increased daylight and hopefully better weather closer to Spring! Note there will space for make-up sessions at the end of the term\, if any session needs to be postponed due to weather. \n\nWhen: The following Mondays throughout Term 3\, 2024: 5th\, 12th\, 19th\, 26th of August\, 2nd and the 9th of September\nMeet: “Bacos Trails” Trailhead at the Walmer Day Visitor Area/Recreation Site\, Castlemaine\nTimes: Mondays 4:00pm – 5pm (1hr Session)\nCost: $165.00 Inc GST\n\nWe do offer trial rides\, this is a single session registration for new riders to trial our programs. The trial ride also gives us an opportunity to assess a riders current skill and confidence levels. The availability of the trial rides are dependent on if we have spare places remaining in the program. The new system will enable us to move riders across our groupings as they progress and develop their skills! \nIf you are unsure on where your rider should be placed\, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss. \n************************************************************************************************************************************* \nThis is a 2-day Shred rider’s program is designed to enable kids to develop the fundamental skills of mountain biking. \nEach session has been designed and planned to progress the fundamental skills sets\, therefore it is essential that the 2 sessions are completed consecutively. \nThe program will progress your child’s position\, balance and ability to operate their controls efficiently and safely. This will be done through fun group\, activities that build essential skills and confidence helping your child to ride safely and smoothly and with good control. \nEach session includes plenty of trail time within the Spring Gully network and as skills are consolidated\, we progressively access more challenging terrain over the 2 days. \nThis extended 3-hour session includes time for a short BYO snack/food break around 11:30am. \nGroups will be formed based on our rider levels. We maintain a coaching ratio of 1:6 which allows us to safely manage our riders and importantly to maximise learning time where we prioritize providing specific individual feedback. \n\nWhen: Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd of July 2024\nMeet: “The Walmer/Baco Trails” – Walmer Day Visitor Area\, Castlemaine\nTime: 10am – 1pm\nCost: $165.00 Inc GST per rider (2 x 3hr sessions)\n\nIf a day of the program needs to be rescheduled due to weather\, this will fall on the day after program dates. \n***** Please note we require minimum registrations of 10 for this program to go ahead ***** \nMissed out on a ticket? The new system will enable us to form groups based on; bike setup\, confidence\, current riding experience\, and current skill level.  Age will still be a consideration\, but generally only used for guidance. \nIf you are unsure on where your rider should be placed\, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss. \n\n  \nThis program is ideal for newer riders to develop fundamental bike handling skills and provide an introduction to riding off-road\, balance bikes welcome! \nEach session has been designed and planned to progress the fundamental skill sets; therefore it is essential that the 2 sessions are completed consecutively. \nThe program will progress your child’s position\, balance and ability to ride in control. This will be done through fun group game-based activities conducted in an open area. Our activities build essential skills to help your little one ride safely smoothly and in control and most importantly to have fun on two wheels. \nWe then take these skills to the trail\, using the ‘easily accessible’ terrain within the trailhead area. \nThe maximum participants for this session will be 6 to maximise learning time and provide opportunity for specific individual feedback. \n\nWhen: Tuesday 2nd & Wednesday 3rd of July\nMeet: “Walmer/Baco Trails” at Walmer Day Visitor Area\nTime: 9am – 9:45am\nCost: $66.00 Inc GST per rider\n\nIf a day of the program needs to be rescheduled due to weather\, this will fall on the day after program dates. \n***** Please note we require minimum registrations of 4 riders for this program to go ahead ***** \nMissed out on a ticket?
