From complete beginners to advanced riders, this retreat is all about building skills, boosting confidence and challenging yourself in a supportive, inclusive environment. Enjoy tailored coaching from experienced women coaches, private shuttle uplift, world class trails and plenty of time to connect on and off the bike.
Who is this for?
This retreat is for complete beginners, right through to Intermediate and advanced riders who are keen to progress skill, feel empowered and improve confidence. We guarantee that you will leave the retreat a more capable and confident mountain biker.
We endeavour to cater for individual rider levels within the group setting. It is our intention to safely progress all riders through learning that is appropriate to individual abilities – building confidence and providing the appropriate level of challenge. Although we we will be utilizing uplift services, E-bikes are welcome and encouraged!
Why Warburton Bike Park?
The unique terrain at Warburton Bike Park offers many different and variable terrain types suitable for complete beginners through to intermediate and advanced riders.
With 80km of purpose built MTB terrain featuring 800m of vertical descent, it is the perfect location for beginners to indulge in an introduction to uplifted gravity style riding or for more experienced and advanced riders to continue honing their descending skills.
We have the luxury of our own private shuttle service provided by Warburton Adventure Company which means no queues and plenty of time to connect and reflect exclusively with your coaches and other retreat buddies on the ride up the hill.
When
Friday 12th – Sunday 14th of February 2027
- Check in from 2pm, go for a self-guided walk along the banks of the ‘Birrarung’ Yarra River or head to the Wesburn Trailhead to get a pedal in.
- Retreat opens at 4pm Friday 12th February (Optional social connection activity)
- Retreat closes at 2pm on Sunday the 14th February
Where will we stay?
Heritage retro pub style accommodation at the lovingly restored The Alpine Hotel Choose from the below room configurations:
- The simple but comfortable Solo Traveller Room with shared bathroom
. 
- Twin Share Room with king single beds and shared bathroom
- Twin Share Room + Ensuite with king single beds
The Alpine offers the complete package for MTB riders, not only being right at the start/finish of the trails but they also offer high security lockable bike lockers, a bike wash and e-bike charging garage.
Depending on capacity we will be able to offer a few tickets to those who are not staying on site, this might suit local riders who would like to take part in all the retreat offerings except for the overnight accommodation.
What’s Included
- 2 nights accommodation at the The Alpine Hotel
- 2 x 4hr and 1 x 3hr tailored MTB skills sessions/guided rides, facilitated by our qualified and experienced women coaches.
- All riding will be fully supported by a private shuttle service for both Saturday and Sunday. Shuttles provided by Warburton Adventure Company
- First aid and emergency response provided where needed by our Wilderness First Aid certified guides and support staff
- Basic trailside mechanical repair and support
- 2 Complimentary buffet breakfasts at the Alpine Hotel
- 2 x Evening meals provided by local vendors
- 2 x Catered lunches provided by local vendors
- Access to private coaching app for communication before and after retreat. Ongoing interaction and networking is highly encouraged post retreat.
What’s Not Included
- Specialised riding snacks and energy bars, you will need to bring your own personal ride snacks and electrolyte replacements while on the bike.
- Bike hire
- Spare tubes, chain lube, bike servicing
- Alcoholic beverages.

Maximum 18 riders *Please note the retreat requires a minimum of 10 participants to go ahead.
Cancellations:
Cancellation by Participant: If you can’t make the retreat and need to cancel your booking within 60 days, we can offer a 50% credit to a future retreat within 2 years. If you need to cancel within 30 days there will be no refund or credit offered. You may transfer your booking to another person at any stage prior to the retreat start date at no cost.
Cancellation by Trailhead Coaching: The retreat will be cancelled if it does not meet minimum number of 8 participants. We will attempt to give 14 days’ notice and offer a transfer to an alternate retreat or a full refund.
Trailhead Coaching reserves the right to modify, adapt or cancel the retreat without notice, due to actual or predicted adverse weather such dangers such as floods, fires, government and health requirements, or other reasons. In such cases no refunds or credits will be given.
